RESEARCH SERVICES
Basic Search
We are pleased to research specific inquiries using its collection. The charge for a two-hour search is $25.00 ($20.00 for HSFC members), which also covers the cost of fifteen (15) copies. Additional copies are 30¢ each. Payment is made for services rendered. The Historical Society of Frederick County cannot guarantee successful results for each search. To request a Basic Search, please fill out the Research Order Form [PDF, 70K] as completely as possible and return it with your check made payable to the Historical Society of Frederick County. You can expect a reply within one month.
Advanced Search
You will be notified if enough material exists to conduct an Advanced Search for two additional hours. An Advanced Search is an additional $20.00 ($15.00 for HSFC members), inclusive, and will only be done with your consent. If an Advanced Search is conducted, the results will be returned with an invoice for the remaining balance.
Document Request
If you are simply requesting copies of specific pages or materials, please indicate the sources(s) and page number(s) needed. There is a $1.00 fee for each search and a 30¢ fee for each copy made.

You can order prints or digital versions of images from the photo archives of the Historical Society of Frederick County.To do so simply complete the appropriate form
