E-Newsletter
The Historical Society of Frederick County invites all educators to sign up for a free quarterly educators e-newsletter. Issues provide updates on educational programs offered by the Historical Society, interesting historical articles, lesson plan ideas, and more. Teacher In-Service Learning
Are you interested in honing your social studies teaching skills? Call upon the historians at the Historical Society to troubleshoot history teaching issues, and explore strategies for engaging your students in history. Free Local History Books for Libraries and Classrooms Program
The Historical Society of Frederick County is pleased to provide copies of several local history resources to Frederick County teachers and librarians, while supplies last. COSTS
Prices assume required chaperone ratio of 1:5-7 students. Additional chaperones are charged at student rate.
Basic field trip (1 program): $3 per student, teachers free, chaperones free
Combo field trip (2 or more programs): $4.50 per student, teachers free, chaperones free
In-Class program: $3 per student, teachers and student aids free
Teacher members: Get a 25% discount for their class. Teacher Memberships cost $10 per year.
