The Historical Society of Frederick County is a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to increasing public awareness and appreciation of the history of Frederick County. The Society collects and preserves artifacts and documents for study and education, and welcomes the participation of people of all ages in sharing informative and engaging experiences that will encourage them to discover and appreciate their heritage.
Historical Society of Frederick County offers individual and family membership at a variety of levels that provide benefits to you and helps to support the organization’s museums, research center, and educational public programs. The HSFC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational organization, donations to which are deductible to the full extent of the law. The Historical Society’s current financial statement is available upon request. Information submitted to the State of Maryland under the Charitable Solicitations Act is available from the Office of the Secretary of State for the cost of copying and postage.
